Rockland Scientific PID-02 winch
The Rockland Scientific PID-02 is configured to handle Rockland’s VMP-250 turbulence profiling instrument with up to 1000m of 6mm rope or 1700m of 5mm 4-conductor cable.
Base winch features:

- Handheld wired remote “simple” controller (E-stop + speed knob + FWD/REV direction control switch) w/ 3m cable to winch
- Sprocket-assisted manual backup auxiliary drivetrain for easier manual recovery of heavy payloads
Optional add-on features:

- Levelwind to facilitate even cable winding for more predictable winch performance and better cable life
- AGO-SR08 8-conducto slip ring with MCBH-8 connectors (for when the winch is to be used with conductor cable rather than rope)
- Bearings with thermoplastic housings and stainless steel inserts for improved corrosion resistance and reduced weight vs the default painted cast iron housings and steel inserts
