PID-03 on the Arctic LOMROG II Expedition

The Danish-Swedish LOMROG II Arctic expedition in 2009 brought a motorized PID-03 to conduct CTD work from the icebergs in waters up to 2km deep.

The winch as delivered for this particular application included a motorized drivetrain, frame-mounted convertable tripod/boom, and an EWC-4 wire count system with encoded sheave wheel.
