Special features on this winch include:
-
- Levelwind-mounted sheave to facilitate using the winch in close proximity to the PAT rig’s A-frame sheave
- Drum-driven encoder and PLC integrated into the eletrical cabinet for calculating and displaying deployed cable length and line speed
- Cable payout limits to prevent excessive payout or pay-in
- “Dual control” with operator controls toggleable between local winch-mounted joystick and 50m wired remote “belly pack” controller with joystick and secondary cable payout display PLC
- Expanded electrical cabinet with extra room for GeoSpectrum to mount their own electronics for the LAR rig
- Friction slip clutch to automatically slip and disengage drivetrain when loads exceed winch’s capability range
