"Arctic Fox" 3HP enclosed winch

The Arctic Fox is a powerful, fast, fully-enclosed winch ideal for marine operations like side scan sonar or sound velocity profiling.  It is completely assembled and ready for purchase as-is.

Features on this winch include:

    • Mechanically-driven level wind system for cable management (currently geared for use with cables ~0.322-0.33″ (8.18-8.41mm) in diameter)
    • Bearings with thermoplastic housings and stainless steel inserts
    • Dog clutch for disengaging the powered drive train for freewheeling payout or manual recovery
    • Stack-light status beacons (red = stopped, green = on and running)
    • Slip ring

Optional features available for this winch include:

    • New “Phoenix” A.G.O.-built winch PLC system that can be optionally configured to offer:
      • Wire payout metering (via drum-driven wire counter system)
      • Remote monitoring of wire payout data via a network-connected computer
      • Remote control of the winch via a network-connected computer
