Standard Winch Frame Models

So many winches...which one is right for my application?

If we don’t have a winch listed for handling your payload and/or cable, or if the listed winch won’t fit with your site constraints, fill out our Winch Requirements Form with details about your application and constraints.

A.G.O. designers will assess your application’s needs (loads and cable capacity requirements) and configure a suitable drum and drivetrain. Then they will review your constraints like size, budget, available site power, and desired features to assess which standard winch frame model can best fit your required drum and drivetrain and meet your constraints.

Why are there no performance specs listed for the winch models?

A.G.O.’s standard winch models refer only to the frame designs that hold the drum, drivetrain, and other features. One standard winch frame model can be used for dozens of combinations of drums and drivetrains depending on each client’s application. We don’t list performance specs for our winch models because they do not have standard drivetrains.

If your application is listed in our Standard Applications, please refer to the corresponding winch listing for performance specs. Otherwise, A.G.O. designers will share calculated specs for your specific winch during the quoting process.

I used an old A.G.O. winch and I want a similar one. Why don't I see its model listed here?

The winches shown below reflect our current standard frame offerings suited for the majority of applications. These improve significantly on our designs of the past to help reduce winch sizes and weights and support more features.

If you don’t see the winch model you’re familiar with listed below, but you are interested in a new winch, fill out our Standard Winch Requirements form and list the winch model you had in mind. A.G.O. designers will assess your application and recommond a new equivalent alternative winch model from our standard lineup.

If you need a replica of a specific winch (e.g. to expand your fleet), contact us with your winch’s serial number.

Unlisted legacy winch models include: CMW-2, CSW-10 (in the upright drum-over-drivetrain configruation), LTJ-1, PID-02 (unless built specifically for Rockland Scientific equipment).
