WSB Water Sample Bottles
A.G.O.’s WSB “Whale Shark” Water Sample Bottles are a Canadian-made Niskin-style water sample bottle designed for repairability in demanding research environments. Currently available in 5L, 8L, and 10L sizes, WSB bottles feature our innovative new field-replaceable ultra-tough Delrin end caps that stay tough down to -40°C. More sizes are also under development.
Traditional all-PVC bottles are brittle below freezing and prone to cracking and chipping. Small breaks in traditional bottles have big effects as they put entire bottles out of service and require total replacement of the bottle to maintain water budget capabilities.
Our new bottle design facilitates quick-swapping of end caps in minutes in the field if any damage occurs, keeping operations flowing smoothly.

Standard Niskin-style design
A.G.O.’s WSB bottles are built with the same standard 5″ diameter pipe size used by other bottles on the market to keep them compatible with existing rosette frames and deployment systems.
They function the same as other Niskin-style bottles.
