Sherman & Reilly snatch blocks

We offer all block sizes in Sherman & Reilly’s 74 and 78 series snatch block lineups to be modified for use with our wire counters or as an unmodified accessory with winch purchases.

These snatch blocks are made of rugged cast aluminum with wide-groove polyurethane-lined wheels.  Their frame conveniently opens up from the side for loading and unloading cable.

We modify Sherman and Reilly snatch blocks to add encoding features for use with our EWC-6 wire counter system.

NOTE:  Sherman and Reilly only rates their snatch blocks for use in the installation of transmission and distribution conductors.  Sherman and Reilly only publish Working Load Ratings and do not publish Breaking Load Ratings as some regulations (e.g. ASME B30.20 or UNOLS RVSS) may require for overboard handling equipment. 

Although these blocks are a convenient snatch block option for basic magnetically encoded sheaves, be advised that Sherman and Reilly snatch blocks are excluded from markets or applications with regulations requiring published Breaking Load Ratings.  If your site or application requires that a snatch block include Breaking Load Ratings as well as WLL ratings to meet certain regulations, please let A.G.O. know so an appropriate alternative snatch block can be quoted.
