AIM Advanced
Instrumentation Module
The AIM replaces the UWINSTRU Underwater Attitude Sensors, and expands greatly upon the capabilities of this long-running instrumentation design.
The AIM Advanced Instrumentation Module is a compact, scalable general-purpose data acquisition system. Designed primarily for installation in tethered remote sensing systems, this module is ideal for any application requiring high quality data acquisition in a small footprint.
With up to 24-bit accuracy of measurement, on-board conditioning circuitry for RTDs and Wheatstone Bridge type pressure sensors, in-situ programmable digital calibration, access to all digital and analog signals via connectors, firmware upgradability and a powerful suite of communications and sensor interface software, the AIM module is an easily customizable data acquisition system.

Range: 0 to 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 bar; other ranges possible

The subsea housing for the system can be made from either hard-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum or Grade 2 titanium, and is rated to up to 2000m depth, or greater with titanium, depending on the sensor fitted. SEACON Brantner Micro-MiniCon connectors are fitted as standard, but other subsea connectors may be custom fitted.
