Geophysics Equipment and Accessories

A.G.O. manufactures geophysics equipment such as borehole logging winches and accessories such as porous pots. Auxiliary equipment includes wire counters / wire payout meters.

Porous potsPorous pots - A.G.O.'s porous pots are used in self potential and induced polarization surveys.

Dummy probeDummy cable headers / probes - A.G.O.'s dummy cable headers and probes are designed to test the competency of the drill hole before deployment of your live probe.
MWC-2 wire counterWire counter / payout system - A.G.O. manufactures the MWC-2 mechanical wire counter for drill hole / borehole applications and the electrical EWC-3M wire payout meter for general oceanographic / geophysics applications. STINGSTING penetrometer - This unique free-fall underwater penetrometer provides a powerful and cost-effective alternative to the methods commonly used for determining the dynamic load bearing strength of the seabed.
Borehole winch - A.G.O.'s PID winches are designed specifically for borehole / drill hole and logging applications such as geophysics surveys and mining exploration. The reels are removable and the winch can be disassembled and reassembled easily in the field. Manual drives are standard. Electric drives are optional.
PID borehole winches
PID-02 manual winch - With a sturdy stainless steel tubular frame and aluminum drums, these winches are easy to transport in small boats, over rough trails and in small aircraft. These winches are manually powered, but may be driven using a gas or battery powered drill. May be outfitted with slip rings for signal cable operation.
