CSW-6 Multi-Purpose Winch

The CSW-6 has proven to be a versatile winch which may be used in almost any application.  This winch comes as a complete package, including a range of standard features only available as options on our other winches.

Typical uses: side scan sonar, water sampling, towed bodies, environmental and pipe line monitoring, coring, subsea video, CTD profiling

Models:

1/2 hp to 1.5 hp permanent magnet motor @ 90/180 VDC (1.5 Hp @ 180 VDC only) with regenerative drive controller powered by 110/220 VAC

or

1/2 hp or 3/4 hp permanent magnet motor @ 24 VDC with PWM controller powered by 24 VDC batteries

Features:

• Frame dimensions are 20" L x 19" W x 17" H (21.5" W with footpads at bottom)
• With 16" reel, overall height is approximately 27.5"
• Nominal weight 125 to 165 lbs (without cable) depending on motor and gearbox selected
• Removable carrying handles; two person portable
• 24 VDC models use battery power and a PWM controller with 10 ft cable
• 90/180 VDC models use 110/220 VAC and a NEMA 4 regenerative drive controller with overload protection and 10 ft cable
• Positive action dog clutch allows free-wheeling for towing and paying out of line
• Torque adjustable manual disc brake for towing
• Shear pin lock
• Manual hand crank backup
• Drum capacity dependent on core selection, e.g. 400m of 0.25" line
• Slip ring ready - two to eight conductor slip rings are available
